What is the SPCA of LA? How do my registration fees help support them?
spcaLA Mission Statement
spcaLA is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals through
Education, Law Enforcement, Intervention, & Advocacy.
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is an independent, nonprofit animal welfare organization serving Southern California since 1877. Donations run programs and services including Cruelty Investigations, Disaster Animal Response Team, Violence Prevention & Humane Education and a variety of shelter services.
spcaLA is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, independently chartered organization that does not receive funding from any federal, state or local government agency. Financial support for the organization’s humane programs is provided solely by donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
All of the proceeds from the Valentine's Day Run will be donated to spcaLA and YouTube will match all donations. The Run is expected to raise over $2,000 for the spcaLA!
